Eastern Point

The neighborhood became a popular vacation spot for wealthy families in the late 19th century, when the Niles farm was sold to the Eastern Point Associates. Its remarkable beauty attracted the attention of a wealth of artists including Fitz Henry Lane, Edward Hopper, William Morris Hunt and Winslow Homer. Rocky Neck Art Colony, located down the street from Eastern Point, remains the traditional heart of the local arts community.

Eastern Point continues to attract a variety of residents, inspired by the beautiful harbor’s distinctive charm, grandeur and individuality.
